Fall sports are in full swing in the Greater Savannah area — and there have been some big-time individual performances for teams focused on making this a season to remember.
Here’s a chance to readers to weigh in and select the Greater Savannah Fall Sports Athlete of the Week. The winner is selected from voting numbers in a poll that closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

The freshman ran a personal best time of 19:12.55 on the 3.1-mile course to finish second in the OrthoWest Invitational large school race at the state cross country course in Carrollton.
Noah Sybert, Richmond Hill cross country
The senior finished finish third in the OrthoWest Invitational large school race at the state cross country course in Carrollton covering the 3.1-mile course in 16:16.97.
Lucy Kelly, Habersham School volleyball
The senior dished out 16 assists as the Patriots took a silver in the 26th annual Augusta Prep tournament beating Mead Hall and the Augusta Eagles.
Maggie Kryiakides, Savannah Christian volleyball
The junior leads an SCPS team (16-4) that has won 11 straight matches with 141 kills on the season.
Savannah Davis, Richmond Hill volleyball
The senior leads the Wildcats (15-6) with 135 kills on the season.
Mary Sophia Fischer, St. Vincent’s volleyball
The senior leads the Saints in aces (49) and assists with 261 and also has 29 kills for a team that is 16-5 on the season.
Lydia Amick, Savannah Christian cross country
The freshman was the top local finisher in the Stinger Invitational at SCPS as she finished fourth — covering the 3.1-mile course in 23:07.93.
Jillian Austin, Savannah Christian softball
The sophomore went 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBIs and struck out 10 in four innings in a win over St. Vincent’s.
Harry Cleland, Veritas Academy
The sophomore won the Stinger Invitational at Savannah Christian as he posted a time of 18:28.75 on the 3.1-mile course.
Emma Overby, Calvary Day softball
The junior threw a no-hitter, striking out 10 in five innings, and drove in a run and scored a run in a win over Liberty County.
