17TH MINUTE: Dragons 6-12 Knights
Ben Hunt spotted Newcastle fullback Lachie Miller out of position and pulled off a delicate chip and chase to cross over for the Dragons’ first try of the evening, with Zac Lomax adding the two points.
7TH MINUTE: Dragons 0-12 Knights
Tyson Gamble sliced through the Dragons’ left edge before streaking into open field and flicking a pass off to Enari Tuala on the inside who crashed over, as Lachie Miller added the extras.
2ND MINUTE: Dragons 0-6 Knights
The Newcastle Knights have wasted little time in taking the lead against the St George Illawarra Dragons, with Jacob Saifiti opening the proceedings.
The forward received the ball from Adam Elliott at the ten-metre mark before spinning out of a tackle attempt from Billy Burns and crashing over. Lachie Miller made the conversion.
