Sam Kerr has celebrated her milestone 30th birthday several days early by eating cupcakes and hanging out on a boat with her girlfriend.

Perth’s beloved soccer star will celebrate another a lap around the sun on Sunday but has already kicked off celebrations in style.

In a post on her Instagram, photos show Kerr all loved up with girlfriend Kristie Mewis getting up to various fun activities.

One photo shows Kerr wrapped up in her lover’s arms while sharing alcoholic beverages and another shows off a box of tasty looking cupcakes with one covered in the words “Happy 30th Sam”.

Another image shows Kerr dressed to the nines in a fancy, black shirt and shorts matching set which she paired with white shoes and stylish eyewear.

The final post in her photo carousel sees the Matildas’ captain in a more laid-back outback sipping a beer on a boat.

Showing her girlfriend some pre-birthday love, Mewis left a comment on the post saying “Ugh the best” with three red heart emojis.
